Overview

GooferThings does not require an account. Puzzle progress, settings, streaks and statistics are stored on your device. The puzzles can be played offline; advertising in the ad-supported iOS release requires an internet connection. Website analytics and in-app advertising are separate services with separate privacy choices.

Data we process

The app does not attach your puzzle answers, saved puzzles or precise GPS location to advertising requests. We do not receive payment-card information from Apple. We do not offer account-based cloud synchronisation in the initial app release.

In-app advertising

The ad-supported iOS release of GooferThings uses banner advertising provided through Google AdMob. Google’s advertising SDK may process network information, including IP address and approximate location inferred from it, device or app identifiers, advertising interactions, and diagnostic and performance information to provide and measure advertising, prevent abuse and maintain its services. The precise processing depends on your privacy choices and the advertising configuration.

Where required, the ad-supported app displays a privacy message before requesting ads. Available advertising privacy choices can be revisited from Profile in earlier releases, or Settings (the gear icon) in Goofer Puzzles 1.1.0. If the required consent flow cannot complete, puzzles remain playable without loading an ad. Website analytics preferences do not replace your in-app advertising choices.

Goofer Puzzles 1.1.0

The renamed Goofer Puzzles update offers free puzzles, advertising for eligible adults and an optional permanent Remove Ads purchase. A neutral age-group choice is remembered on your device and can be changed in Settings. This is a self-declared choice, not identity or age verification. Users who select an age under 18 or leave their age unspecified receive no ads. No date of birth or identity document is requested.

For eligible users, Google AdMob and its consent service may process approximate location inferred from IP address, device identifiers, product interactions, advertising data, crash reports, performance data and other diagnostics. These support advertising delivery and measurement, consent handling, service analytics and fraud prevention. Apple tracking permission is requested where applicable before access to the advertising identifier; you can decline or change it in iPhone Settings. Ad personalization depends on the available permissions and consent. Non-personalized ads still involve data processing.

Apple handles payment and supplies transaction information used by the app to verify and restore ad-free access. We do not receive payment-card details. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase, not a subscription; Restore Purchases is in Settings. An ad-free entitlement prevents ad requests. Deleting the app removes local data subject to iOS backup behavior, but does not erase Apple purchase records or data retained by Google.

Website analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for privacy-conscious traffic insights. Google Analytics is optional and remains disabled until you explicitly accept analytics. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, user IDs, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

Your choices

You can accept, reject, or later withdraw Google Analytics permission at any time using the “Privacy choices” control shown on every page. Rejecting or withdrawing permission prevents future Google Analytics measurement and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this site.

Children

GooferThings, renamed Goofer Puzzles in version 1.1.0, is a general-audience puzzle product. Version 1.1.0 does not request ads for users who select an age under 18 or leave their age unspecified.
