Daily Sudoku: today’s puzzle and a worked example
Preparing today's puzzle…
Today’s medium Sudoku is the same for everyone, in every language. It changes at midnight in Europe/Brussels. Your entries and pencil notes are saved in this browser when local storage is available.
A certain move, step by step
In a row missing 3, 6 and 9, call the empty cells A, B and C. After checking their columns and 3 × 3 boxes, A allows 3 or 9, B allows 3, 6 or 9, and C allows 3 or 9.
Only B can contain 6, so B must be 6. A and C still need 3 and 9; this information alone does not decide their order. Check their columns and boxes again instead of guessing.
| Cell | Candidates | Conclusion |
|---|---|---|
| A | 3, 9 | Still undecided |
| B | 3, 6, 9 | Only place for 6 in this row |
| C | 3, 9 | Still undecided |
